Hardware Ranch

A few weeks ago we decided that it was time to do something different on a Saturday. I suggested that we visit Hardware Ranch. It has been a long time since I have been up there and I thought it might be something Carson would enjoy. We headed up with my Father and Mother and went for the sleigh ride touring the elk refuge. It was a warm, sunny day and the perfect time to get out of the fog that was in the valley.

Carson had a little bit of a hard time staying still in the wagon, but enjoyed seeing the elk which he refered to as horses. While we were there we saw a celebrity! The old farmer that shoots a cow in Napolean Dynamite was in line behind us. I wanted to get a picture with him, but chickened out.

On the way home we passed a spot that my Dad used to camp at as a scout. He showed us a great sledding hill that we just had to try out. Unfortunately, on the first run down Eddie popped the tube with Carson on his lap. It was only then that I read there was a 120 pound weight maximum. We didn't let it ruin our fun though and the snow was packed hard enough that we slid down on the popped remains. On the way there we had to cross a river by walking over a log. It made me nervous to see Eddie carrying Carson over the trecherous terrain, but they both made it across without any problems.

Sounds like fun! I was wondering if you would help me, show me, or tell me how to make a cake for molly. I will have kade get your number from Eddie and I will call you or text you.

How fun! We've been there once and it was a beautiful day then too.

Too bad about the tire, but I'm glad nobody fell in the river!:)

Looks like so much fun! It seems like all I can do is think about spring and how it will be so nice to get outside again... you have inspired me to find something fun to do, even if it is cold and snowy!
