Saint George in July

In July we went to Saint George with some of our great friends. The Hillstroms' and the Defays'. These are our traveling buddies and it is always a good time when we are together. This is our third long distance adventure with all three families. We keep multiplying so it gets a little harder to fit into one place, but we make it work.
The Hillstrom family has a condo in Saint George which they let us stay at. The kids have a great time together. Carson, Treydon and Noah play together well and it is fun to see what mishchief three year olds can get into together. The other kids (Sophie, Tessa and Beckham) will play together when they are older I am sure.

The guys decided to go golfing and got onto a course as early as they could to avoid the heat. They played for dirt cheap and had a great time even if it was really early in the morning. We then went to breakfast at the Bear Paw Restaurant. The food was amazing, but I was being really ornery.
The power kept going out which meant that the air conditioning kept going out. I was worried Sophie was getting too hot thus I was freaking out. They kept resetting the generator and insisted that they would be able to cook our food (our orders were already in when th power went out the first time). The chef's in the back ended up cooking our meals with the lights from their cell phones. Luckily, the food was amazing and I can definitely see myself going back even with the power problems.
When we finally got back into our cars he thermometer read 112. Seriously!?! The Defay's car was even hotter at 119. Poor Tessa was sweating like crazy when we got back to the condo.
Kristina and Ariel thought it might be too hot to go shopping, but I convinced them otherwise and the girls headed out for a little retail therapy. It was fun to spend time with the three of us (it always is) and I wish I could live closer to these wonderful women.
We ended up driving home on July 3rd in order to make it home for the 4th. We had a great time and wished it could have lasted a few more days. Carson and Eddie also swam in the pool with everyone, which they enjoyed.
